The safety of our service users and staff is our priority. We have social distancing measures and PPE in place and all our staff are double vaccinated.
If you have symptoms of coronavirus please do not visit the centre and book a PCR test.
If you test positive for coronavirus after visiting Charter House, please inform us straight away.

During the COVID-19 outbreak, we delivered more than 30,000 free meals to vulnerable people across Burnley and Padiham. Government grant supported our provision of free meals. Thank you to The Government and The National Lottery Community Fund.

Charter House Resource Centre & Sensory Room
Charter House Resource Centre & Sensory Room C.I.C. was established to benefit people who have special needs or a disability. Charter House has now become a vital resource for all members of our community in Burnley.
Charter House is a fantastic meeting place for all sorts of activities, social gatherings, groups, clubs and events.
Our building is a unique environment where positivity, understanding, tolerance and empathy abound – and who wouldn’t want a share of that?!

Here at Charter House Resource Centre in Burnley Lancashire, we also provide a safe environment for adults with learning disabilities, the elderly and people of all ages with dementia. It is a place where they can meet others and join in with structured and meaningful activities. We ensure that each and every individual need is met.

Multi Sensory Room
Our multi sensory room in Burnley, Lancashire is designed and equipped to suit the needs of both young people and adults who have physical disabilities, learning disabilities, sensory impairments or dementia.
The Sensory Room is ideal for relaxation and de-esculation for people with autism, behavioural difficulties or any other special needs where the person can become overwhelmed and in need of a safe calm environment.

Dementia Day Care
We provide a safe, welcoming and enriching environment for people of all ages with dementia. Charter House provide the opportunity to stay active and have social interaction as well as providing much needed rest-bite for the carers.
Home Care
Charter House home care services provide care for the elderly, those living with dementia and adults with learning and physical disabilities, in the comfort of their own home.
Elderly Day Care
With access to all of our existing services and facilities, our elderly day care users will have access to a day lounge. A comfortable and safe space from which they can benefit from being in a stimulating and diverse environment at the heart of the community.
